1. Long term solution.
-Pebble Flex has been put through accelerated weathering by a xenon weatherometer, our results were stellar, please see the catalog for details. -Our first floor was installed April 1996 and we return to the job annually to power wash and clean the surface.
-For playgrounds Pebble Flex is 30 % less expensive than wood chips, P-Gravel, or rubber mulch over a 10 year time period. (this estimate considers labor for maintenance, and refills due to product loss)
2. Aliphatic vs. Aromatic, no competition.
-Our Aliphatic system (Aliphatic Pebbles and Binder) are significantly more UV light stable and chemical resistant than the Aromatic binder and EPDM particles used by the competition.
-Our binder breaks the pebbles down and bonds them together by a chemical reaction rather than our competition which is adhesive encapsulated particles.
-Aliphatic material shields your floor from chalking and fading.
3. Chemical resistance. Our products are significantly more chemical resistant than the competition. Pebble Flex offers a Aqua Flex division of products that can stand up to around the clock chlorine exposure. We also offer an impervious surface, Pebble Flex NP, which is chemical and Chlorine resistant as well.
-Pebble Flex is the only certified impervious soft surface approved by NY State.
4. Safety Surfacing We have successfully tested up to 10 foot fall heights with the ASTM. We have hundreds of playgrounds and water play features installed around the US and internationally since the summer of 2000.
